Commercial and Industrial Users
If you’re thinking that Oilheat is only for home use, think again. The clean, efficient fuel is used to provide heat, hot water and steam for apartment buildings, schools, houses of worship, hospitals, commercial buildings, farms, hotels and resorts, and more.
Many commercial properties that have used heavier versions of oil (No. 6 or No. 4) for heat and hot water are converting to lighter No. 2 heating oil or Bioheat® fuel blended with ultra-low sulfur heating oil. These conversions are offering the property owner reduced heating and maintenance costs, and are giving the community a reason to literally breathe easier. Several municipalities have begun mandating that buildings convert to a lighter No. 2 heating oil or another fuel type.
Oilheat is also often used in dual-fuel systems, providing heat and hot water when it’s financially beneficial or when the other fuel is turned off for any reason.
